Digitech PDS-1002
When i got this pedal it had the same problem all as DOD pedals that have survived this long. The momentary switches are shot. I replaced those switches with some externally mounted momentary switches and everything worked great, but i wasnt done. This pedal also had the 3.5mm DC jack from days gone by. i swapped it out with a new 2.1mm barrel plug type jack and rewired it to match the correct polarity. Upgraded the LEDs threw some new knobs on it just for fun. I noticed the pedal would not self oscillate and after tinkering with some of the trim pots mounted on the circuit board i was able to increase the feedback level. The only thing left was to cover the hole on the top of the battery compartment, since i ripped out the battery terminal leads already because fuck batteries and digital pedals. This thing ate 2 new batteries just during testing. To cover this hole i used a thin piece of metal, normally for roof flashing, and tried to emulate an old name plate for a piece of equipment. i used a water slide decal and clear coated it on to the metal and epoxied it to the top of the hole. for my first try at water slide decals i was pretty pleased and it gave the pedal a nice piece of advertising.
